Good day, you lovely people! It’s World Health Day today. We bet you do feel healthy and happy already and send you another big dose of positive vibes. Keep being awesome, you.
We all know it’s never an awesome or healthy day without a great breakfast. Still, we sometimes skip it, right? Well, stop it. Feed yourself after waking up. A solid breakfast makes your day a lot better. And who else is more connected to breakfast than Will Keith Kellogg (*1860), founder of Kellogg’s?
It might be very true that for some of you, Yves Rocher (*1930), Russel Crowe (*1964) or Jackie Chan (*1954) symbolise breakfast better. Yet most of us enjoy it most with some cereals instead of perfumes, gladiators or kung-fu.
And after breakfast, it’s time to build some legendary Lego. Yes! Danish inventor and businessman Ole Kirk Christiansen (*1891) is the mastermind behind the favorite blocks of many kids (and adults).
From one inventor to another; from building blocks to friction matches. John Walker, an English chemist, sells the first friction match (that he had invented the previous year) on this day in 1827. Fascinating.
Time to celebrate equal rights in the workplace with Empress Matilda becoming the first female ruler of England, adopting the title ‘Lady of the English’ in 1141. Or was it more a birthright, than an equal one?
In any way, it was a festive happening. And what is a feast without some music? Right, a feast without music. Deeply sad. So let’s hear it for German composer Ludwig van Beethoven who premiered his Third Symphony at the Theater an der Wien in Vienna in 1805. And for American jazz and swing legend Billie Holiday (*1915)!
Celebrating good times feels nice, right? Go bring your memories & new inspiration to life! Explore your favorite item from the #ads above.
