May 14

What happened on May 14?

All-star filmmaker and Star Wars creator George Lucas was born today in 1944.

Where Lucas is the uncrowned king of the galaxy empire, Charles IV (*1316) was the official emperor of the Holy Roman Empire. But not to worry, George, you still have time to be coronated!

Let’s see whether the Lucas dynasty can surpass 14(!) seats on the throne, like the Louises of France, did. At only 4 years old, Louis XIV became King of France in 1643.

Talking about kings; cheers to three kings and queens of social media, EDM charts & books:
Mark Zuckerberg‘s (*1984) name is popping up among his Facebook friends today, notifying everybody and their momma he is celebrating his birthday.
Maybe, the one-and-only Animal, Martin Garrix (*1996) could throw in a happy birthday track to cheer up the day.
And for those who want to sit quietly in a corner of the room instead of going wild on the dance floor, we have Virginia Woolf’s novel Mrs. Dalloway (released in 1925).

Such a shame Cate Blanchett (*1969) and Tim Roth (*1961) never made it into Lucas’ movies. We’d love to see them tagging along with Chewbacca. Wouldn’t you?
