What happened on May 21?

If your life isn’t really much of a roller coaster, head over to Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey. And take a ride in the world’s tallest roller coaster attraction on the planet: Kingda Ka. What an incredible structure!

Some might be too scared to get on this ride, but we know someone who surely isn’t: legendary actor and wrestler Mr. T. (*1852).

How awesome would it be to see Mr. T’s alter ego B.A. Baracus in a roller coaster cart. Together with celebrating celebrities Judge Reinhold (*1957), The Notorious B.I.G. (*1972), and Fats Waller (*1904).

Movies like Pulp Fiction (released today in 1994) are pretty crazy, but the above combination would be a completely new level of crazy. Something even Alexander Pope (*1688) wouldn’t be able to describe in poems or Albrecht Durer (*1471) could express in his paintings.

Fun fact, Fats Waller was born on the same day the FIFA (Fรฉdรฉration Internationale de Football Association) was founded in Paris. The FIFA’s tournaments are a special kind of emotional roller coasters, aren’t they?

Nothing better to relax with than a good old cup of tea during a hectic match or any other day. Yes, get your tea bags out – it’s International Tea Day!

Incredible what we as a people are able to construct as ‘International days’.
For some ‘normal’ construction magic, check out the works of today’s last birthday boy: architect Marcel Breuer (*1902)
